On a full moon night in the Tamil month of Margazhi, Lord Shiva dances his Ananda Tandava (Dance of Bliss) as Lord Nataraja and the whole cosmos joins in the rythym of his dance.

All the gods are present there to watch His dance. Darshan of Lord Natarja on this day is the same as being the presence of all the Gods.
